MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis men's soccer team was unable to overcome a second half goal and fell by a score of 1-0 to Kentucky Saturday afternoon. The setback puts the Tigers at 0-2-1 on the year.
The two squads found themselves at a 0-0 stalemate after 45 minutes of action. The Tigers and the Wildcats maintained even possession throughout the half and in all, Memphis was able to fire off two shots against the Kentucky defense.
In the second half, however, a defensive miscue by the Tigers led to a red card and a penalty kick for the Wildcats.
