PROVIDENCE, R.I. – University of Memphis sophomore has been named the American Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
It is Ruhlman's first Player of the Week recognition and the second weekly accolade of her career. She was named to the conference's weekly honor roll as a freshman in 2015 (Oct. 26, 2015).
The 5-foot-5 libero collected 45 total kills in helping lead the Tigers to a 1-1 record this past weekend. In a Nov. 18 road match at Tulsa, Memphis defeated the Golden Hurricane 3-2 in come-from-behind fashion. The Tigers fell to league leader SMU 3-0 Nov.
