MEMPHIS – Junior quarterback grabbed a pair of honors on Monday. Ferguson was named the American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season and was one of eight quarterbacks from across the country named a Manning Award Star of the Week.
Ferguson was 30-for-45 for a career-best 409 yards in a 48-44 win over nationally-ranked Houston in the regular season finale, Friday. Ferguson, who finished with four touchdown passes, found wide receiver twice in the end zone for go-ahead touchdowns in the final 3:49 of the game.
In his first season at Memphis, Ferguson has gone 255-for-400 for 3,326 yards and 28 touchdowns against nine interceptions.
