MURRAY, Ky. – Eight members of the University of Memphis rifle team earned 2016-17 Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) Scholastic All-American accolades, the organization announced Thursday.
Memphis is one of three Great American Rifle Conference (GARC) programs with eight or more shooters earning CRCA Scholastic All-American recognition. The other two schools were Akron (14) and Kentucky (10). Nationally, the Tigers were one of 10 rifle programs to have eight or more CRCA Scholastic All-Americans.
To be named a CRCA Scholastic All-American, a student-athlete must have a 3.20 grade-point average (GPA) for the 2016 fall semester.
