MEMPHIS – The number 29 ranked Tulane men's tennis team (14-4, 1-1 American) got a third set win at four singles to edge number 34 ranked Memphis, (13-6, 2-1 American), 4-3, Sunday.
Memphis got off to a quick start, grabbing a 6-0 win at one doubles and adding a 6-3 win at three to take a 1-0 lead in the match.
But Tulane got the match tied back up quickly with a straight set win at three. The Green Wave then took a 2-1 lead in the match with a 6-4, 6-1 win at six singles before Memphis answered with a 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 win at five singles from freshman Jan Pallares.
