MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis men's soccer team celebrated Senior Day in style with a 2-0 shutout victory over UConn Saturday night. Freshman Jackson Morse scored both goals in the victory as the Tigers snapped a three-match losing skid.
Memphis improves to 8-7-1 overall and 2-3-1 in American Athletic Conference play. The Tigers have now evened the series at 2-2 against UConn including wins in the last two meetings.
The two squads were scoreless for most of the first half until Morse put the Tigers on the board in the 40th minute.
