MEMPHIS, Tenn. – For the third time this season, the American Athletic Conference has recognized Molly Smith for her efforts over the weekend. Smith led Memphis with a 2-1 record at the 32nd Annual Louisiana Classics including her first complete no-hitter against UMBC.
In the no-hitter, Smith struck out 10 batters and allowed just one hit by pitch and one walk in the win. It was the third time this season she has had at least 10 strikeouts in a game and it brings her season total to 47 total K's.
Smith then tossed a complete game shutout in the win over North Florida.
