MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis Tigers forward Josh Minott has been named the American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Week, marking his third conference award in five weeks in the month of January.
Minott was also named the conference's Freshman of the Week Jan. 3, and he was on the league's weekly Honor Roll Jan. 10.
Minott recorded a 13-point, 12-rebound double-double in Memphis' win over East Carolina Thursday night, giving him two double-doubles on the season and tying Jalen Duren for the team lead. He also had two assists, two blocks and a steal against the Pirates.
