MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Redshirt sophomore was named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll for his performance over the weekend, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Mikus scored the only goal for the Tigers in the match against Utah Valley, and it proved to be the game winner. Memphis halted late attacks by the Wolverines, including two shots in the last minute, to preserve the win. The goal was Mikus' second of the season.
The Honor Roll nod is the first for Mikus this season, and the second weekly award of his career. Last season saw him awarded Rookie of the Week for scoring the game winner against Cincinnati.
