BONITA BAY, Fla. – Memphis men's tennis registered eight total victories in its first day of action at the Bonita Bay FineMark Collegiate Open, hosted by Florida Gulf Coast University.
Memphis began the day claiming three of four matches in doubles play, and used the early advantage for five wins in singles.
Tandems and along with and etched 6-2 wins in doubles. Senior duo and etched a 6-3 win to give Memphis its third doubles victory of the day.
In singles, Pallares, Stevenson and each turned in straight-set victories to continue the momentum. and scratched out three-set wins of their own to close the day.
