MEMPHIS, Tenn. – At home in Memphis for the first time this season, the men's tennis team showed up and showed out in a 7-0 sweep over the Temple Owls.
The win moves the Tigers up to 4-8 on the year, and a 1-0 start to American Athletic Conference play.
Memphis had little trouble getting the match started, taking the doubles point in quick succession on Courts 1 and 2. The pair of and won the first court with a 6-1 win, while the tandem of and capped off the point 6-2.
From there, the Tigers continued their momentum into singles play, taking three courts in straight sets.
