Men's Tennis suffers setback against SEC opponent Vanderbilt

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – After winning the doubles point, the Memphis men's tennis team wasn't quite able to carry the win into singles, falling 5-2 to Vanderbilt Friday evening.

Doubles play took finishes from all three courts after the first two split results After Court 1 finished in Vanderbilt's favor, and responded with a 6-4 win on Court 2.

The final court, played by James and , went to a tiebreaker to decide which team earned the doubles point. The brothers took control of the tiebreak, winning 7-2 to win the point for Memphis.

The Tigers weren't able to maintain that momentum into the singles portion of the match, winning only one bout of singles in three-set victory on Court 3.
