In singles, six Tigers advanced to the second round of the 64-field main draw. , and turned in straight-set decisions in their respective matches, while , and outlasted their opponents in three sets to advance.
A pair of Tiger tandems combined for three wins to reaching the third round of the main doubles draw. and began their tournament with an 8-2 victory, and then turned in an 8-6 win in the second round.
