MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis men's tennis (11-10) team improved to 2-2 in American Athletic Conference play with a 4-0 sweep of SMU (11-14, 0-3 AAC), Friday.
Memphis took an early lead in the match with wins at one and two doubles. The team of and grabbed a 7-4 win in the tiebreaker at one to secure the team point after and got the first Memphis win of the afternoon, 6-4.
The doubles win pushed the Tigers out to a quick start in singles play. won his opening set at five singles, 6-0.
