COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS – The University of Memphis men's tennis team (15-9) saw its 2017 season come to an end with a 4-2 loss to No. 24 ranked Oregon (19-6), Friday, in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
The doubles point set the tone for the match. Memphis took an early lead with a win at three doubles, but dropped matches at one (6-3) and two (6-4) to trail 1-0 in the match.
"It was a great college tennis match," Head Coach Paul Goebel said. "It's what you'd expect when you have the two and three seeds face off in the NCAA tournament.
