Men's tennis claims 5-2 win in road finale

BATON ROUGE, La. – In its final road contest of the season, the No. 22/21 Memphis men's tennis team stretched its win streak to eight matches after the Tigers capped the weekend with a 5-2 victory at LSU Sunday afternoon.

LSU (8-10, 1-5) struck first with wins and No. 2 and No. 3 doubles, but despite dropping the opening point, the visiting Tigers (13-4, 2-0) bounced back in singles to claim the win.

In singles play, Kai Lemke and Ryan Peniston delivered straight-set victories, while Andrew Watson, Jan Pallares and Chris Patzanovsky went the distance in three-set wins.
