MEMPHIS – The Memphis men's tennis team advanced three of four entries to the championship finals of their respective flights on day one of the Louisville Fall Invitational, Saturday. Freshmen and advanced to the semifinals of their own flights, while advanced to the semis of the B Singles draw.
In the A singles draw, Story advanced with a 6-0, 6-3 win over Wright State's Jonas Vrezing, then prevailed in a 7-5, 4-6, 6-3 decision against Xavier's Jeremy Schneider to advance to a semifinal match against Louisville's Brandon Lancaster, Sunday.
In that same draw, teammate came back from a 6-4, 7-5 loss to Tennessee Tech's Guillermo Nicolas to advance to the consolation semis.
