PHILADELPHIA – The University of Memphis men's soccer team garnered its first point of the conference season by forcing Temple to a 0-0 double overtime tie Saturday evening. The Tigers move to 5-4-1 overall and 0-1-1 in American Athletic Conference play.
"Our first half was real sluggish and Temple put a lot of pressure on us," said head coach Richard Mulrooney. "We were able to see the game out to halftime where we made some adjustments."
This was the first overtime match this season for the Tigers. It was also the first game at home for Temple where the Owls did not come away with a victory.
