MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis men's soccer team dropped a non-conference match to Lipscomb Wednesday night by a score of 3-1. The Tigers fall to 2-6-3 on the year.
"Tonight was a tough match with opportunities we were unable to capitalize on," said head coach . "Lipscomb is a solid program, but we have to finish our chances. Now it's time to focus on SMU this weekend."
After over 30 minutes of scoreless soccer, Lipscomb took a 1-0 lead on a shot from outside the 18-yard box. The Tigers had chances, however, as Memphis outshot Lipscomb 9-4 in the first half.
