NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The University of Memphis men's soccer team opened up the 2017 season with a 0-0 draw on the road at Belmont Friday evening. Redshirt-senior goalkeeper Jake Leeker had a career-night for the Tigers, notching nine saves and his 11th career shutout in the draw.
"It ended up being the typical first match of the year, both teams had anxiety and nerves and you could tell by how the first part of the match played out with turnovers," said head coach Richard Mulrooney. "As the match when on, I thought the game got a little more settled and started to flow.
