MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis will open play in the 2019 NCAA Division 1 Men's Golf Championships May 13 at the Athens (Georgia) Regional, the Tigers' first trip to the NCAA regionals since 2016.
Memphis learned of its regional destination late Wednesday night during the NCAA selection show televised by the Golf Channel. Tigers coach Blake Smart and his team watched the selection show at the UofM's Park Avenue Campus practice facility.
"The regionals are the most stressful week in college golf," Smart said. "It's so much fun. Everyone has something on the line.
