WEST POINT, Miss. – The University of Memphis men's golf team shot 2-over 578 on the opening day of the Old Waverly Collegiate Championship. The Tigers' 36-hole score places them in ninth among the 15 teams participating in the event, which is being played at Old Waverly Golf Club.
ULM is first after a 22-under 554 Monday. Tuesday's final round will find fourth-ranked Vanderbilt (561), Ole Miss (562) and Little Rock (563) among the closest challengers.
The Tigers, participating in their final event before the American Athletic Conference Championships next week, were led by Chase Harris and Bradley Bawden.
