MEMPHIS, Tenn. – It may be of little consolation to University of Memphis coach Penny Hardaway, but his team is not alone trying to determine what makes life on the American Athletic Conference road so difficult.
As the Tigers (14-10, 6-5 The American) prepare for Wednesday night's league game against ECU at Minges Coliseum in Greenville, N.C., they will be attempting to end a three-game road losing streak. Overall, the UofM is 1-4 in road conference games, the lone win coming Jan. 13 at Tulane.
Hardaway, in his first season as UofM coach, would like to erase a recent stretch of road nightmares.
