Memphis Remains Perfect At Home With 3-0 Shutout Over Houston Baptist

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis men's soccer team improved to a perfect 4-0 at home and 5-3 overall with a 3-0 shutout over Houston Baptist Sunday evening. The Tigers used two goals in short succession in the second half to pull away with the victory.

Burke Fahling, Julio Vargas, and Carlos Hurtado all registered goals in the victory.

"I was pleased with it," said head coach Richard Mulrooney. "The guys came out and competed for 90 minutes. It took us a little while to get in the flow, but at the end of the day I still think after looking at the tape tomorrow we'll see we were trying to do the right things and that we were rewarded in the second half for the play that we had.
