Memphis men’s soccer falls at Tulsa 2-0

TULSA, Okla. – Memphis men's soccer lost at Tulsa 2-0 with a pair of second-half goals going into the wind in Hurricane Stadium Wednesday.

With Irish-like temperatures in the mid-40s and 15 mph winds, the Tigers were hampered by an opponents' penalty kick for the fourth consecutive game. Tulsa freshman forward Alex Meinhard opened the scoring with a penalty kick at 54:11, marking his fourth goal of the season.

The Golden Hurricane scored 10 minutes later at 64:50 following a steal at midfield that led to a Ben Barkley to Malik Henry-Scott give-and-go that allowed Barkley to easily score with Memphis goalkeeper Parker Lackland off his line.
