MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis, for the fourth-straight season, led the American Athletic Conference in Team Academic Excellence Awards as announced by the conference office Tuesday. The Tigers had four teams receive the academic honor, which brings the Memphis overall total to 20 teams in the four-year life of the American.
The four teams to receive the honor from the conference are men's and women's soccer, men's golf, and women's tennis. This is the fourth-straight year women's soccer has received the Team Academic Excellence Award. Men's golf has earned the award in three of the four possible years while women's tennis has two honors to its name.
