MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis Tiger head men's basketball coach Penny Hardaway has secured an impact student-athlete for 2022-23 in Kendric Davis (G, 6-0, SMU), the 2022 American Athletic Conference Player of the Year and the top available transfer.
Davis is the second 1,000-point scorer the Tigers have added this offseason, joining Elijah McCadden (G, 6-4, Georgia Southern University). Davis spent the 2018-19 season at TCU and then played his sophomore-through-senior seasons at SMU (2019-22).
"I cannot explain what it means to add Kendric to the great history of Memphis Tiger Basketball," Hardaway said.
