MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis ran out eight different pitchers as the Tigers lost 11-4 to Arkansas State Tuesday night at FedExPark. The Tigers (20-13) will continue the home stand this weekend by hosting Houston Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
The Red Wolves scored in six different innings, plating three runs in the top of the first and going up 6-1 through three. Memphis fought back to cut the lead to 6-4 but Arkansas State scored two more in the sixth, two in the seventh and one in the eighth to put the game away.
Danny Denz started the game and took the loss to drop to 1-1 this season.
