MEMPHIS — Memphis freshman center Moussa Cisse is one of 20 players nationally selected to the 2021 Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Center of the Year Award watch list, the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced Friday.
The annual honor, in its seventh year, is given to the top center in men's college basketball. A national committee of college basketball personnel determined the initial watch list.
Cisse is the Preseason American Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year. One of the top recruits in the country, Cisse led Lausanne Collegiate School to the 2019-20 Tennessee Division II-A state title.
