MEMPHIS, Tennessee – After becoming only the second tight end in program history to eclipse 1,000 career receiving yards, senior has been named an honorable mention for the Mackey Award Tight End of the Week Tuesday afternoon.
The Cordova, Tennessee native was named to the Mackey Award Watch List in July and has continued to make a name for himself this season. Magnifico finished with three catches for 31 receiving yards and his first TD of the season in the victory against Tulane.
Magnifico is just 24 yards shy of matching for the career record for receiving yards by a tight end (1,050).
