MEMPHIS, Tennessee – Senior tight end Joey Magnifico has been named to the 2019 John Mackey Award Preseason Watch List released Friday. Given annually to the most outstanding tight end in college football, the recipient is selected by a vote of the Mackey Award Selection Committee and will be recognized at The Home Depot College Football Awards Show on Dec. 11.
Heading into his senior campaign at Memphis, Magnifico, a local product out of St. Benedict at Auburndale High School in Cordova, has appeared in 40 career games with 25 starts. He has 51 receptions for 728 yards and 10 touchdowns.
