Lynch Named TSWA Player of the Week

University of Memphis quarterback Paxton Lynch, who established a new career high for passing yards in the Tigers' convincing 55-23 win over Kansas, has been named the Offensive Player of the Week by the Tennessee Sports Writers Association.

Lynch completed 22-of-25 passes for 354 yards and two touchdowns in the Tigers' victory last week, the first win for the UofM over a Power 5 conference school since 2004. The Deltona, Fla., native tossed TD throws of six and three yards to cap drives of 80 and 75 yards.

The junior has thrown for 432 yards and three touchdowns in two games this season.
