PROVIDENCE, R.I. – University of Memphis sophomore guard Alex Lomax was named Monday to the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll for his contributions in victories last week over Bradley and UAB.

Lomax, a valuable reserve, scored a career-high 17 points and added three steals in a 71-56 win over Bradley at FedExForum. Lomax scored 10 of his points in the first half, including several key baskets when Bradley rallied before halftime. In the second half, he hit 4-of-4 free throws in the final minutes to help the Tigers maintain a double-digit cushion

In Saturday's win over former league rival UAB, Lomax scored all 10 of his points in the second half and added three assists to allow the Tigers to overcome a 17-point second-half deficit and win their sixth straight.
