NEW ORLEANS, La. – It's been over two months since the end of the 2016 cross country campaign, and the University of Memphis women's team continues to make history.
On Monday, the United States Track and Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its team and individual academic honors, and for the first time in Tigers women's cross country program history, two runners earned All-Academic honors from the organization. Senior and junior were the Tigers' honorees.
Rodriguez Sala and Ladd were two of eight runners from the American Athletic Conference to earn USTFCCCA All-Academic honors. Memphis and SMU were the only two schools from The American to place more than one student-athlete on the USTFCCCA All-Academic list.
