Kimberley Smit Signs With Women’s Soccer

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis women's soccer team and head coach Brooks Monaghan have announced the signing of Kimberley Smit from The Netherlands Friday morning. Smit, a versatile defender, is the 11th signee this spring and will play immediately for the Tigers starting next fall.

Smit joins the signing class of Claire Abrey, Tanya Boychuk, Beatrice Currie, Caroline Duncan, Grace Duncan, Lydia Herring, Myah Jalal, Allie Rathbun, Lauren Schultz, and Maddie Stoks.

Smit started playing soccer on a boys' team when she was eight-years-old and continued to play with them at a high level until she was 17.
