MEMPHIS, Tenn.– Sophomore guard Emani Jefferson has collected her third American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll Award for a third time this season, the conference announced Monday.
Jefferson, who averaged 13.0 points per game this week, scored a career-high 22 points against Tulsa with 16 of them coming in the second half. Along with her game-high scoring, Jefferson also added in four rebounds, two assists, two blocks and two steals.
While Jefferson only had four points in the team's win over Temple on Saturday, she played a big role at the point guard position; Jefferson recorded assists on the go-ahead bucket and insurance basket at the end of the game to put the Tigers up 61-57 with 2:19 left in the game.
