Jefferson Earns AAC Weekly Honor Roll Award

MEMPHIS, Tenn.– Following back-to-back double-digit performances and helping to ignite the Tiger defense, sophomore Emani Jefferson has earned her second American Athletic Conference Honor Roll accolade of the season, the conference announced Monday afternoon.

Jefferson, who averaged 15.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game, opened the week with a 17-point performance at Tulane where she went 6-10 from the field and added in four rebounds, two assists and two steals. Wednesday's game marked the second time this season she led the team in scoring in a single game.

In the team's battle with Houston on Saturday afternoon, Jefferson recorded 13 points, where six of them came from the free throw line, while grabbing seven rebounds and dishing out four assists.
