MEMPHIS – Senior place kicker was named one of 30 candidates for the 2016 Senior CLASS Award it was announced Friday. The honor is given each year to student-athletes who excel both on and off the field. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as a NCAA Division I FBS senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character and competition.
Elliott became Memphis' all-time leading scorer last week in a win over defending American Athletic Conference East Division champions Temple. Elliott passed DeAngelo Williams and Stephen Gostkowski to take over the top spot on the career scoring charts with 371 points.
