MEMPHIS – Incoming freshman Katherine Cao added another ITA Summer Circuit championship to her resume last weekend at Wichita State, teaming with Meghan King, a Wofford signee, to win the doubles championship.
The top seeded duo in the draw, the twosome downed the team of Hanna Hills and Madison Lysaught (Washburn), 8-4, in the first round, then defeated Alix Williams (Central Oklahoma) and Shaun Williams, 8-2, in the semifinals.
In the final, the duo faced the team of Courtney Lubbers, a rising junior at Western Illinois, and Tawni Griffey, a rising senior at Emporia State, who had taken out the two seeds, 8-5, in the other semifinal.
