MEMPHIS – Lina Hohnhold and Hanna Sohn advanced to the singles finals of their respective draws at the Roberta Alison tournament at the University of Alabama, Friday.
In the Jim Tressler Draw, Hohnhold grabbed a pair of straight set wins to advance to the Saturday final. She started with a 7-5, 6-3 victory over Jemma Potter from UTM, then defeated Carolina Kelly of Mississippi State, 7-5, 6-0. Hohnhold will now face two seed Holly Horsfall of Samford, Saturday.
Sohn opened her morning with a 6-4, 2-6, 10-4 victory over the three seeded Smith Hinton of Alabama.
