MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Two Memphis Tigers have been announced as Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholars for the 2022 season. Christian Hill from the women's track & field team was named a fourth-team recipient while Kayode Oladele, a member of the Tiger football team, was named as a first-team honoree.
The Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar Awards, sponsored by Diverse: Issues In Higher Education, honor students of color who have excelled in the classroom as well as on the athletic field. Scholars must maintain a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.
