NEW ORLEANS, La. – University of Memphis cross country athlete Payton Gleason was announced as one of the Division I All-Academic honorees by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) last week.
To qualify for All-Academic honors, individuals must have a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 or 10 percent at the NCAA Regional Champioships or as an All-American at the NCAA Championships.
Gleason is majoring in physical education/teacher education and is also working toward obtaining an accounting minor.
