MEMPHIS – The University of Memphis women's tennis team got some work on resiliency on Friday, as three of the players who suffered first round singles losses bounced back to get a win in the second round to even their days at 1-1.
Freshman Clara Keuhn dropped her first match, 6-3, 6-3, and had dropped her first set of the second match, 6-4, before she came back on Samford's Amanda Kilduff for a 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 victory.
Fellow freshman also dropped her opening match, 6-2, 6-2, but came back and picked up a quick 6-2, 6-1 win over Mercer's Marie Mottet to advance to the Saturday consolation finals in the Susan Carver Singles Draw.
