MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis women's basketball team had a fourth-quarter rally fall short as the Tigers fell to Wichita State by a score of 77-64 Saturday afternoon. Memphis drops to 7-14 on the year and 2-6 in American Athletic Conference play.
How It Happened
Memphis knocked down a pair of three-pointers by Taylor Barnes and Cheyenne Creighton to open the contest on a 6-2 run. Wichita State had an answer with an 11-0 run to take over the lead.
Down six through 10 minutes of play, Memphis cut the Wichita State lead to five at the intermission.
