MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Returning to the place he played his collegiate soccer, former Memphis midfielder has joined Memphis 901 FC, the team announced Tuesday morning. Gonzalez is among a group of three players that are the first official signees for the club.
Gonzalez contributed 13 goals and 13 assists in his four seasons as a Tiger, logging time in 65 matches. After finishing his time at Memphis, he became the first player under current head coach to sign a professional soccer contract, signing with the Richmond Kickers.
In his career at Memphis, Gonzalez was a 2013 AAC All-Rookie Team member and a two-time All-American Athletic Conference honoree.
