Former Mastodon standout Lars van Meijel has advanced to the second stage of qualifying for the European Tour.
van Meijel claimed second place in the first round, closing the opening qualifying with a seven under par 65, reaching 14 strokes under par for the tournament.
He is one of 29 players to play at the Bogogno Golf Resort in Italy to advance to the second stage.
van Meijel is the second former Tiger to advance a round in a qualifying attempt for the European tour, as former teammate Thomas Perrot advanced to the second round in late September.
