MEMPHIS – The Memphis football team still has a week of bowl practice left and a December 20th bowl date against Western Kentucky pending, but got together on Sunday night to honor some of the award winners from this season at the annual Highland Hundred Banquet at the Hilton Memphis East.
After Head Coach Mike Norvell recognized award winners from the scout team (Tim Hart, Joseph Dorceus, Demonte Coxie, and Nehemiah Augustus), he handed out honors for the Joe Allison Special Teams Player of the Year, an honor shared by Jake Elliott, the 2014 and 2015 American Athletic Conference Special Teams Player of the Year, and Tony Pollard, the 2016 winner of the same award.
