TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – University of Memphis' tied a career-best finish in the women's 5000 meters to pace the Tigers track and field's first-day effort at the 2017 Crimson Tide Invitational Friday. Ladd placed third in a time of 16:53.21.
Ladd's third-place performance tied her career-best finish, as she also placed third in the event at this outdoor season-opening meet at the Rhodes Invitational Mar. 17.
Five distance performers, including Ladd, set personal-best times in the 5000 meters Friday.
