MEMPHIS – Junior quarterback and senior place-kicker each earned his second American Athletic Conference player of the week honor on Monday. Ferguson was named the league' s offensive player of the week after going 20-for-27 for 287 yards and four touchdowns , while Elliott was named the special teams player of the week after hitting field goals from 43, 44 and 31 yards and going 6-for-6 on PATs.
This is the second career weekly honor for Ferguson and the ninth career weekly honor for Elliott.
Ferguson was named the CollegeSportsMadness.com offensive player of the week for the league on Sunday.
