MEMPHIS – Senior place kicker was named to a pair of awards lists on Wednesday. He is one of 165 nominees on the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team and was also named one of 88 players on the Wuerffel Trophy Watch List, an award that honors academic and athletic achievement and community service.
Elliott, also a member of the Lou Groza Watch List this preseason, enters his final season as a Tiger as the two-time defending American Athletic Conference Special Teams Player of the Year and a three-time first team, all-conference honoree. He needs just 10 field goals and 45 points to tie the Memphis career record in both categories currently held by New England Patriots' kicker Stephen Gostkowski.
